The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has implemented a new exit verification regulation for all applicants who take any of the commission’s exams in Computer Based Test (CBT) format. Candidates can see the notification at ssc.nic.in, the official website.
According to the rule, biometric data of the candidates (photograph and Left Thumb Impression (LTI), etc.) would be taken during the departure verification procedure before applicants are permitted to leave the computer laboratories following the test.
Until recently, verification was only done when a candidate entered the exam venue. Candidates were also prohibited from bringing any digital gadgets, watches, or earrings to the exam venue in order to avoid any discrepancy linked to cheating during the exam. The SSC has not given any rationale for the establishment of this new regulation, but it has asked all applicants taking the commission’s computer-based tests to cooperate in this procedure.
SSC administers a number of central government recruitment tests, including the Combined Graduate Level (CGL), the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CGSL), and the Delhi Police/CAPF recruiting exams, among others.
