MPSC PSI Syllabus 2022

An application process for positions in Maharashtra’s administration departments is conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). There are separate MPSC PSI syllabuses for the MPSC preliminaries and the MPSC mains.

Prelims Syllabus

As part of the MPSC recruitment process, MPSC preliminary exams are carried out.

  • Historical and political significance of Maharashtra in Indian History & Indian National Movement
  • Topics covered include constitutional law, legislative systems, panchayati raj, social governance, public policy, and human rights issues in Maharashtra and India
  • Culture and History
  • Maharashtra’s physical, social, and economic geography, as well as that of India and the rest of the world
  • Development of the Economy and Society Inequality, Integration, Demographics, and Social Sector Initiatives, to name a few.
  • Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity, and Climate Change in General
  • General Science
  • Current Affairs
  • Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning
  • Comprehension
  • Problem-solving and decision-making
  • General Mental Ability
  • Numeracy Fundamentals (Numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc., Class X level), Data Analysis and Interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc., Class X level)
  • Language Comprehension Skills in Marathi and English (Class X/XII level)

Mains Syllabus

Candidates advance to the MPSC PSI Main test after passing the necessary scores in the prelims. The main test consists of two 100 mark papers. Each paper has a one-hour time limit for candidates.
