Overview of BPSC 2025 Exam

BPSC Exam Process & Important Dates
Notification & Application
The official notification for the 71st BPSC CCE was released on May 30, 2025. Candidates can apply online from June 2 to June 30, 2025. Visit the official BPSC website to fill out the application form and pay fees.
Preliminary Exam (Prelims) | Date: August 30, 2025
The prelims consist of two papers:
General Studies Paper 1: Covers current affairs, history, geography, polity, economy, environment, and general science.
General Studies Paper 2 (CSAT): Tests aptitude, reasoning, comprehension, and basic numeracy.
Prelims is qualifying in nature. Only candidates who clear prelims with the required cutoff can sit for mains.
Main Exam (Mains)
The mains exam is descriptive and demands comprehensive answers. It comprises several papers including:
- Essay writing
- General Hindi
- General Studies (multiple papers covering history, geography, polity, economy, science, and more)
- Optional Subject Paper 1 & 2 (based on candidate’s choice)
